Our Barnevelders

The Barnevelders is a Dutch breed named after the town of Barneveld. They are a medium, docile, beautiful bird with gold laced and irridescent green feathers. They are also known for their beautiful dark eggs but not all lines lay dark eggs. All our birds are from dark laying parents and lay dark eggs themselves.

They are a good laying birds with an average of 180 to 200 eggs a year and are known to lay through the winter and are not prone to go broody.

These pictures are some of our Barnevelders. Starting July 2012 we will have week old chicks available for $10 each unsexed
